FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR SPEAKERS
The Mars Society Australia (MSA) is pleased to announce that it will resume its tradition of annual conferences by holding the 13th Australian Mars Exploration Conference (AMEC2022) this year. The conference will be held as a free online event over the weekend of Saturday & Sunday May 28th-29th, 2022, and will include both a schedule of speakers and workshop discussions. This year’s conference motto ‘A Decade of Progress”, references the many advances that have been made in our understanding of the Red Planet and developing the technologies to establish a human presence there since the previous AMEC event in 2012.
You are invited to prepare talks for the conference. Overall there will be six themes and you are asked to consider presenting within one of these
Theme 1 – Technology
Theme 2 – Planetary science and astrobiology
Theme 3 – The human factor
Theme 4 – Analogue studies
Theme 5 – Education and outreach
Theme 6 – Policy and planning
